Save the date! The Wellbeing at Work virtual conference will be brought to you in partnership with the Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce on Thursday 28th January 2021. This event will be advertised and booking will be open from early December.

The nominations for Wellbeing Champion of the Year 2020 are now LIVE!!! If you have an amazing Wellbeing Champion that you think needs recognition then please download the nomination form from link below and send it to Charley Roberts (email below). Remember that being a Wellbeing Champion isn’t about HUGE campaigns, sometimes it’s just knowing you are there and working behind the scenes can be enough for your team. Closing date for nominations is Monday 14th December 2020.

Diabetes Prevention: Know your risk!

Are you at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes? Would you like to reduce Covid-19 risk?

As part of the national campaign, you can now self-check you risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes by using Diabetes UK Know your risk tool

Before Covid-19 outbreak, the programme only accepted patients with Blood Test result of Haemoglobin A1c (HbA1C): 42-47 mmol/mol or Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG): 5.5-6.9 mmol/L taken in the last 24 hours. In which case, you can refer yourself to the programme by calling on 0345 999 0003 or filling out the form on http://devon.cc/dpp

Rapid access to the Diabetes Prevention Programme is being rolled out following research that revealed those living with diabetes face a significantly higher risk of dying with COVID-19. If your score indicates you are at risk of developing type 2 Diabetes, you will be directed to join the Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Programme. The Programme is free, and currently delivered with remote Zoom sessions or digital only option to support you in eating healthily, become more active and increase general well-being.
