Wellbeing at Work are commissioned by Plymouth City Council to deliver services to businesses in Plymouth or to those businesses with over 50% of their employees having a Plymouth postcode.

Wellbeing Training delivers professional and accredited Wellbeing Training packages through a mixture of virtual and face-to-face sessions, with the majority being free of charge. Our training aims to increase awareness around physical and mental health, allowing those who attend to support individuals in their workplaces and communities.

We are excited to announce the release of a new two-day Wellbeing Champion Training package, which has been improved with your valuable feedback. Our training is delivered by experts in the field and focuses on promoting physical health and mental wellbeing messages within your business or community.

The package includes essential training modules such as Making Every Contact Count, Connect 5 Session 1, and 4 Mental Health Emotional Resilience. Upon completion, you will be fully equipped to assume the role of a Wellbeing Champion, empowered to create a positive impact in the lives of those around you.

Making Every Contact Count (eMECC)

Free Course

Gain the confidence and skills to support healthy lifestyle conversations in your everyday encounters. MECC is based on having brief empathetic conversations, which can support a person’s motivation to change.

Connect 5: Session 1

Free Course

Connect 5 is a three-session programme that helps individuals improve communication about health and wellbeing. It's based on 'Making Every Contact Count' and equips people with skills to manage mental health, and increase resilience, and wellbeing through positive change.

Menopause Awareness

Free Course

Join our one-hour conversation to provide you with a basic overview of menopause, the symptoms that are frequently under-recognised, undervalued, and not taken seriously, and how this can impact individuals in the workplace.

4MH : Emotional Resilience

Join our self-care course to increase your ability to cope with the emotional distress we all experience daily. You will explore how to improve your wellbeing and manage your emotions, as well as develop an understanding of wellbeing and resilience, through developing your own personal wellbeing plan.

4MH : Community Suicide Awareness

Join our Suicide Awareness workshop to dispel myths and reduce stigma. You'll learn about prevention, compassion, and how to talk to someone in distress. Gain skills and develop a safety plan. Make a difference in your community.

MHFA Refresher

Aiming to empower Mental Health FirstAiders® who have previously completed the two-day MHFA course within the last 3 years, this refresher is a four-hour-long in-person session which updates knowledge and allows MHFAiders® to practice their skills. This course is a great way to demonstrate your commitment to treating mental health and physical health equally both in your workplace and out in the community.
