A Merry Wellness 2023 Wrap Up!

With the festive season fast approaching, Wellbeing at Work is excited to take a moment to reflect on the incredible accomplishments of businesses and champions in the year 2023.

In addition to celebrating these achievements, we would like to provide you with a sneak peek of what's in store for the upcoming year, 2024.

Stay tuned for exciting developments and opportunities to further enhance the wellbeing of your organization and workforce.

Join us in January for Alcohol Awareness with The Harbour Centre!

We invite you to attend a free wellbeing webinar where we will discuss Alcohol Awareness and the importance of Dry January with The Harbour Centre, Plymouth. Our discussion will focus on the issues related to alcohol consumption, as well as how organisations and individuals can encourage a greater awareness of the dangers associated with excessive alcohol consumption.

Those who engage in risky drinking behaviors are not necessarily people who are suffering from a 'diagnosed' or obvious alcohol problem. It is as much a problem experienced by professionals and managers as it is for the general public. Long-term health damage caused by excessive alcoholism is a common if often 'hidden' problem.

We will also delve into the positive effects of 'Dry January' and other health initiatives, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the relationship between alcohol and our well-being in society.

Next month marks the beginning of Dry January - a month-long campaign aimed at promoting healthier attitudes towards alcohol and encouraging individuals to abstain from it.

Studies have shown that taking a month off alcohol can lead to significant health benefits such as weight loss, a decrease in blood pressure, and a risk reduction for diabetes. These benefits have been observed in healthy individuals who drink at moderate to high levels.

Wellbeing at Work support Dry January with the upcoming wellbeing webinar on Alcohol Awareness taking place in January. Why not get a group together to go alcohol free for a month? To give you a health boost for 2024!
