This month, we are sharing lots of updates for health, including Know Your Numbers, National Eye Health Week, and National Fitness Day!

Menopause Awareness in the Workplace

Commencing next month in preparation for World Menopause Day. We will be having an interactive webinar with Nita Dodd, Advanced Health Improvement Practioner, Nita will be explaining menopause to reduce stigma,  the issues that are faced for those with menopause in the workplace, and the support that can be offered to those going through menopause. Wellbeing Champions and Businesses will also have an opportunity to network and hear more Wellbeing at Work updates!

Know Your Numbers Week running from September 4th-10th!

This week reach those who have high blood pressure and don’t know it, so they can get the treatment and support they need to bring it under control. 
Make this week a week of awareness by taking your own blood pressure check, encouraging others, or asking our One You Plymouth Team for help!

Your Vision Matters

National Eye Health Week runs from 18-24, with this year paying close attention to raising awareness of screen fatigue and what we can do to look after our eyes.
Use this week to remind your colleagues to take plenty of breaks from the screen, book an eye check with your local provider as well as raise awareness of various eye health issues that can affect your mental health!

Qwell Information Session for Businesses and Employers 

Join us for an information session to introduce you to our adult mental health service Qwell which is available to adults in your area! 

Qwell.io is an online emotional wellbeing and mental health service, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and delivered by Kooth Digital Health, the UK's largest digital mental health support service. Free, safe, anonymous, and accessible all year to same-day and out-of-hours professional support, as well as plenty of self-directed support content, and our peer support community space. 

The webinar is open to people in Devon, Plymouth, and Torbay where Qwell has been commissioned for people aged 18+.

Sunday 10th of September is World Suicide Prevention Day

To support World Suicide Prevention Day by reducing stigma and raising awareness, Wellbeing Training has a wide range of suicide prevention and awareness training that colleagues and individuals in the community can benefit from during this day.

4th - 8th of September - Zero Waste Week -  A yearly campaign to help raise awareness of being zero waste, encouraging schools, workplaces, and communities to reduce their waste. To find out more, click here.

10th of September - World Suicide Prevention Day - A yearly campaign to raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental health support, with this year's theme 'Creating Hope through Action'. To find out more, click here.
