Don't need to tell us Twice! Lets Celebrate National Bed Month!

National Bed Month is observed throughout March in the UK, with the support from The Sleep Council and The National Bed Federation to raise the importance of sleep.

Getting a good nights sleep has many benefits, such as lowering your risk of health problems like diabetes and heart disease, reducing stress and improving mental health as well as ensuring that you think more clearly and increase your work productivity!

In order for us to get a good nights sleep, having the right tools and environment around us is essential! So making sure we have the correct bed and sleep routine will help us fall asleep faster and easier!

World Sleep Day!

Sleep is essential for health, it is a foundation to everyone's physical, mental and social wellbeing.

Created by the World Sleep Society, World Sleep Day is an international recognised event. It helps build connections and raises awareness to the importance of sleep health.

Sleep is a critical pillar to human health, it goes hand in hand with nutrition and physical activity. Here are some key takeaways:

Sleep helps support memory and learning.

Sleep helps to clear waste from the brain and promote brain health.

Sleep supports the immune system to clear bacteria and viruses.

Sleep helps to recycle old cells and maintain our bodies and energy levels.

Without a good nights sleep, physical health can deteriorate, our immune system can become more susceptible to infection with lower response times and a decrease in productivity.

The 8th of March is National No Smoking Day!

No Smoking Day is a campaign intended to help those who smoke to quit. With a different theme each year, for 2023, No Smoking Day is concentrating on Better Brain Health!

Many people are aware that smoking can cause conditions such as lung cancer and heart disease, but fewer people know that smoking can also increase your risk dementia.

By stopping smoking, your risk will reduce. And as an extra benefit it will improve your sleep as smoking is also a stimulant making it harder to fall asleep!
