An Introduction to Menopause Awareness! 
The menopause is a not an illness or medical condition: it is a completely normal life event for women. However, the troublesome symptoms that the menopause can bring are frequently under-recognised, undervalued and not taken seriously. This one hour free online session aims to provide a basic overview of the menopause and how this can impact on individuals in the workplace’.

We Attended The Devon Business Show!

Last month we went to the Devon Business Show from The Devon and Plymouth Chamber! It was a great event, catching up some businesses who we are already working with as well as meeting with some new organisations to discuss wellbeing!

Movember is Coming up!

This year for Movember, the theme is to address some of the biggest health issues faced by men:  Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. 
Men are dying too young and we can't afford to stay silent. Movember are the only charity tackling men's health on a global scale, year round.

16 Days of Activism:
#LetsEndFemicide

From November 25th until December 10th, for 16 days The Centre of Women's Global Leadership will be continuing their efforts to ending femicide by spotlighting certain groups of women who are more vulnerable. The Campaign will also be releasing a 2022 Global 16 Days Action Toolkit to mobilize global action to end femicide by helping campaigners join forces with the Global 16 Days Campaign and each other.

Free Trauma Informed Practice Course 

Want to support Plymouth's commitment to being a trauma informed and responsive city? Take the Trauma Informed Course, which will able you to understand and identify trauma, how re-traumatising takes place and how trauma effects people in different ways. It will also consider how practice and procedures can be applied to reduce distress for service users and explore concepts of self-care for practitioners.

Age UK Plymouth Are Offering Dementia Awareness Training!

Organisations and groups in Plymouth are now being offered free training and information from Age UK Plymouth to help with providing an awareness of dementia. Tammy Walker, Training and Wellbeing Dementia Lead from Age UK, has a vast experience of supporting people living with dementia and will support your commitment to awareness, through your chosen course, at your organisation's place of work or group's regular meeting location.

We have limited spaces left on our half-day SafeTALK training session in November! 

This course is great for anyone over 16 years old, with no prior experience to prepare yourself with the skills, confidence and tools to become a suicide alert helper. Tickets cost £30 and you will taught by our highly skilled Wellbeing Trainers, Nita Dodd and Mandy Chapman to gather invaluable skills to help suicide prevention.

19th November 2022 - International Men's Day - Held yearly, with this years theme concentrating on the wellbeing and lives of boys and men, promoting positive conversations about men, manhood and masculinity and raising awareness and support of men's and boys wellbeing click here.

22nd Nov - 22nd December 2022 - Disability History Month - Held yearly, with this years theme "Disability, Health and Wellbeing". The Covid Pandemic has demonstrated across the UK and around the world just how fragile are the Rights disabled people have secured for themselves and how easily we become expendable.
