Pride Returns to Plymouth for its 10th Anniversary! 

On the 13th - 14th of August Pride will return to Plymouth, taking place at Plymouth Albion RFC. The two day event will be sponsored by Dawn French who has deep connections for Plymouth and a love for Argyle! The Parade will start from Devonport Park at 11:30, where Pride was originally celebrated at 10 years ago, and then it will make its way over to the main event at Albion for 1pm! For more info check out our 'Upcoming Campaigns' below...

Want to become a Climate Ambassador?

With March 2019 being declared as a Climate Emergency by Plymouth City Council, a Climate Ambassador Programme has been created in aid to work alongside Plymouth City Council, to take positive action to reduce carbon emissions locally in aid to make the city carbon neutral by 2030.

The Southwest boldest charity cycling challenge returns for 2022

This year marks their 40th Anniversary for people to return to get on their bikes for an exciting challenge in aid of compassionate care and support, which positively impacts families affected by terminal illness. The popular Tour De Moor is back, to raise funds for St Luke's Hospice on Sunday 9 October.

MHFA: Self Harm Awarness

Satveer Nijjar
11 August 2022, 12pm – 1pm
Content warning: This session will discuss self-harm, triggers, and serious mental ill health.
In this session, Satveer will share her lived experience and respond to your questions around the topic of self-harm. The conversation will be facilitated by Julie Castleman, one of MHFA England’s National Trainers. You will have an opportunity to ask Satveer questions to understand more about her experience, as well as enhance your knowledge on the topic of self-harm.

Your speaker for this session is Satveer Nijjar, an MHFA England plenary speaker. Satveer’s passion is to reduce stigma around mental ill health. Her focus is on improving the understanding and response to self-harm behaviours. Her experiences as a patient, and more recently as a parent of a child with mental illness, have helped shape her career.
