Congratulations to ACE Schools Plymouth and Plymouth City Council who continue to achieve Bronze status within the Wellbeing at Work Award scheme!

Mental Health First Aid England were joined by people from all over the world, celebrating My Whole Self Day 2022. Together we can change workplace culture.

Thank you to our expert panel:

– Alice Jennison, Inclusion & Diversity Manager, Skanska

– Asif Sadiq, SVP, Head of Equity & Inclusion, WarnerMedia

– Jolawn Victor, Chief International Officer, Headspace

Our guest speakers shared their thoughts on how to create a healthy and inclusive workplace. Asif highlighted how crucial psychological safety is to be able to be your authentic self at work. Jolawn emphasised the importance of taking the time to understand each individual and celebrate their differences to be able to take part in meaningful conversations. Alice discussed normalising conversations about flexible working within teams. Open conversations allow organisations to effectively redesign workspaces in a way that works for the individual.

  • Weds April 13th 6-8pm to Weds 4th May - a face to face course to be held  either at the Cumberland Centre, or the St Budeaux Community Centre (tbc)

NHS Health Check

We can offer FREE NHS Health Checks for eligible people aged 40 – 74.

An NHS Health Check is a great way to get advice on keeping yourself healthy and active.  As we get older, there is a higher risk of developing heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes or dementia. A FREE NHS Health Check can help you reduce these risks and make sure that you stay healthy.

The check takes 40 mins and is based on straightforward questions and measurements such as blood pressure, pulse, body mass index (BMI) and a finger prick test for cholesterol.  During your appointment you will be taken through your results and offered advice and support on how to lower your risk and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

For more information please call 01752 437177 or email wellbeingat.work@nhs.net
