Wellbeing at Work Annual Conference

Thank you to all those who attended our annual conference which was held virtually on 28th April. We would like to say a big thank you to our speakers, Claire Turbott from Public Health England, Leigh Jones from St Luke's Hospice and Jemma Freeman and Jessica Dann from Plymouth City Council.

Congratulations once again to our businesses who have achieved awards!  Congratulations to COOP Plymouth LSC (Bronze), Plymouth City Council (Bronze), ACE Schools (part of Transforming Futures) (Bronze), Plymouth Child Maintenance Group (Part of DWP) (Silver and Gold).

Well done to the Wellbeing Champion Nominees, Alison Crane, Jane Waite, Lucy Thomas, Julie Jenks, Judi Armstrong, Natalie Atkins, Nat Brown, Katherine Hendrick, Kate Graham and Jemma Freeman. You all have done amazing work throughout this year keeping spirits high! 
A HUGE congratulations to Charlotte Gill and Sara Rogers from Livewell Southwest for being the Runners Up for Wellbeing Champions of the Year 2020 and a MASSIVE Celebration for Georgia Miller from Devon Referral Service for being the Winner of Wellbeing Champion of the Year 2020.

Wellbeing at Work Virtual Webinar

Our webinar is being held on Wednesday 14th July 2021 in partnership with Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce from 10-11.30am.
Avril Bankes-Fay, Regional Integration Manager for the South West, Seectec Pluss, will be giving an overview on the Disability Confidence Scheme and a Diverse Workforce.   There will also be an update from the Wellbeing at Work team, and an opportunity to network and share ideas with other Wellbeing Champions.

Wellbeing Champion Facebook Group

We are pleased to announce that we now have our Wellbeing Champions Facebook Group set up! This is a great tool for Wellbeing Champions to engage with other Wellbeing Champions across the City and to be able to help support and encourage one another!

Able Futures

Free Mental Health Support at Work
Able Futures provides free support to the people working and living with mental health difficulties, employers and providers of apprenticeships.  Able Futures could give an employee nine months free advice and guidance from a mental health specialist who can help them learn coping mechanisms, build resilience, access therapy or work with their employer to make adjustments to help your mental health at work.  Please follow the link for more information -

Livewell Foundation 

The Livewell Foundation is the charitable arm of Livewell Southwest.  It was set up to administer the charitable funds from donors who make a gift in return for the quality care they receive.  It also enables Livewell Southwest CIC to fulfil its community interest by making grants to local causes who deliver fantastic health and wellbeing outcomes.  Over the past 12 months, the Foundation has supported projects which reach more than 73,000 local patients – helping to prevent ill health, promote good health and reduce social isolation.
 
Can you help sponsor Children’s Speech and Language Assistant Mary, as she hopes to raise money for the Livewell Foundation by running the London Marathon this October 3rd.
