Online Training is HERE!!!!

We are excited to announce our new online training package, which has evolved in line with COVID-19 social distancing restrictions. This includes:
  • Understanding Mental Health & Wellbeing (UMHWB)
  • Understanding Grief & Bereavement (UG&B)
  • Wellbeing Champions

When COVID-19 social distancing guidance becomes less restrictive, we will once again be in a position to offer face-to-face training. Although, it will still be possible for organisations to request bespoke online training for the mentioned courses as outlined above.

COVID-19: Psychological First Aid

Learn how to give practical and emotional support to individuals using PFA
Psychological First Aid (PFA) is the globally recommended training for supporting people during emergencies and offers guidance on delivering psychosocial care in the immediate aftermath of the emergency event.
On this course, you’ll explore the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and what you can do to help people cope.
The course will teach you the key principles of giving psychological first aid in emergencies.
This course has been produced by Public Health England and is based on international guidance from the World Health Organisation, United Nations and partners.

Wellbeing at Work Autumn Forum

We are moving forward with plans to enable us to bring you the Autumn forum on the 7th October. We will have workshops around “Sleep” and “Alcohol Awareness”. Book your place today to attend as places will be limited.

Health Improvement Annual Impact Report 2019-2020

It’s coming!  Get ready!
This September the four week walking challenge will start on Monday 7th September and there are lots of wellbeing prizes up for grabs.  Sign up your colleagues and get ready to walk!  Let us know about your walks and how you are increasing your steps in and around Plymouth.  Extra prizes this year include a Wellbeing Champion prize for the best Steptember workplace campaign.  Let us know how you will be promoting your campaign and send us your team photos! You can register you interest between Monday 3rd August – Monday 31st August.

Food is Fun CIC Cook and Care

Food is Fun CIC are running a Cook and Care Project to help support those individuals that are still socially isolated during these times! It allows these individuals be able to virtually socialise and have a meal with with someone after they have cooked it. Better Health Campaign from PHE

Public Health England have released a new campaign called ‘Better Health’. There is a lot of support around healthy eating and getting moving from the ‘Better Health app’ to the ‘Couch to 5k app’ and even includes discount for Slimming world and Weight Watchers. One You Plymouth Eatwell 1-2-1 support

One You Plymouth have been working hard behind the scenes to adapt to the new circumstances. They are now able to offer the 12 week Eatwell Programme either via telephone or the Livewell Connect app. The Eatwell Practitoners will help you look at your current lifestyle and eating habits, they will help support you to make SMART goals and be able to become a healthier you!
