Walking for Health

April 29th, 2020 | Blog

I really look forward to my daily walk which is normally accompanied by my dog Florence and, at the moment, with my family too. I normally travel to nearby places to walk but I have recently discovered lots of local footpaths on my doorstep which I am really quite enjoying. I have also had the opportunity to meet new local people (at a social distance) and am beginning to see familiar faces within my community. Walking makes me feel refreshed, grounded and gives me a sense of escapism. I try to walk at a brisk pace but do take time to stop and notice nature around me.

Walking is not only good for keeping you fit but also helps you feel good. Taking some time out to stretch your legs and enjoy nature has been proven to help you live a happier and healthier life. Walking has been described as the perfect exercise.
