Merry Christmas from the team
A very Merry Christmas from everyone at the Wellbeing at Work team. We hope you all have a restful Christmas period and a wonderful New Year.
We look forward to working with you all over the coming year. If you have any ideas or plans for supporting your team’s wellbeing please let us know – we might even be able to make you a case study to help promote the wonderful work you are doing.

Entries close 13th January 2020 so there is plenty of time to show your appreciation of the excellent work Wellbeing Champions have been doing within your organisation.
Please note that we have had to introduce a cancellation policy for the Annual Update and future Forums. If you do book your place and are unable to attend please let us know 7 days prior to the event so you don’t incur a charge. This will also help us to ensure that we are able to allocate empty spaces to others who wish to attend.
Details are shown on the booking page and on your booking confirmation email, but if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the team.

Wellbeing Champions Update
Carol, a Family Health Worker at Livewell Southwest has made an amazing Wellbeing board within their staff room to help promote the services that are around the city (left).
Verity from Action For Children’s Children’s Centres, has been busy hard at work making sure the office is filled with Wellbeing tools for all the staff (right).
Enjoy team building exercises over this Christmas period. We would love to see photos of your activities to share with and inspire others.
Why not have a go at our Christmas Quiz at your office catch up or team meeting to help lighten the mood in the build up to Christmas. You might even like to turn it into a fundraising event by asking for a small entry fee and making a donation to a local charity to brighten someone else’s day.
Getting Ready for Dry January 2020
It seems a long way off yet, especially with all the parties that are being attended or are still planned for the next few weeks but we will again be supporting Alcohol Change UK’s “Dry January” in the New Year, encouraging people to give up alcohol for the month. It only takes three weeks to break a habit, so this could be your route to happier, healthier drinking long-term.
Business too can have a great role to play in supporting the campaign as reduced absenteeism and lost productivity from alcohol, are estimated to cost UK businesses a staggering £7.3bn each year.
Alcohol Change has a lot more information about the campaign as well as a number of great tools to help you and your colleagues go Dry for January.
