WorkFit Programme Update

Due to current funding ending we are not able to accept new referrals for the WorkFit programme at the moment. Livewell Southwest and Pluss CIC are exploring a number of options to secure new funding to continue with the programme so please watch this space for updates.

Mayflower 400 Launches with Illuminate Plymouth

Illuminate Plymouth is a spectacular light-based festival that will help launch the Mayflower 400 anniversary year from the maritime city’s historic waterfront in November 2019.

A series of dazzling installations and projections will make Plymouth shine ahead of the official commemorations, together with other Illuminate events across the Mayflower destinations.

Wellbeing Champions Update

Sarah Wood and Evelyn Burgess, two of the Wellbeing Champions at Plymouth City Council won a “Star Award” in their Work awards evening for Colleagues of the Year, for all of their hard work at promoting wellbeing within their team and making a difference!

 

 

 

 

Jane and Lucy from Plymouth Options have been hard at work; they have had Bella the Therapy dog come into the office for all the staff, One You Plymouth Services (Know Your Measurements and NHS Health Checks)

were offered to all staff, and also the Smoothie bike was hired for a bit of fun.

16 Days of Action Campaign

Monday 25 November marks the start of ‘16 Days of Action to end violence against women and girls,’ an international movement supported by international, national and local organisations fighting to end violence against women and girls. 25 November is also White Ribbon Day, where men are encouraged to wear a white ribbon, and pledge never to commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.

To support this Plymouth City Council have prepared a Toolkit for you and your organisation to support the campaign via social media. You can download your free toolkit via the link below to start using today.

There is also a Free workshop for you to attend to find out more information about the campaign and how you can offer your support. The Workshop will be held on:

28 November 12.30-1.30pm at the Harbour Training Room, Hyde Park House, Mutley Plain
